The Keysight (Agilent) 16065A is a four-terminal-pair external bias fixture that applies DC bias voltage or current to a device under test during LCR or impedance measurements. It enables component characterization under operating bias when the primary instrument lacks internal DC bias capability or cannot supply required voltage levels. The fixture accepts external voltage sources up to ±200 VDC via a dedicated DC BIAS INPUT BNC connector and provides a DC BIAS MONITOR BNC connector for observing DC voltage across the DUT. A 5.6 µF series blocking capacitor isolates the applied DC from the measuring instrument while preventing use of internal bias sources. The 16065A supports four-terminal-pair measurements on 2-terminal components across a frequency range of 5 Hz to 15 MHz (50 Hz to 2 MHz in certain configurations). Maximum combined AC+DC voltage is ±42 V peak. Three interchangeable contact inserts enable measurement of axial-lead, radial-lead, and short radial-lead components. – Compatibility & Integration
Designed for 4-terminal-pair LCR meters and impedance analyzers. Electrode modules are interchangeable with Keysight 16047A/D fixtures. When used with 4284A Option 001, zener diode limits signal level to AC maximum 7 V. Not suitable for applications requiring the instrument’s internal bias source; use 16047B Test Fixture instead.
