The Keysight (Agilent) 1671G is a standalone logic analyzer for capturing, displaying, and analyzing digital signals across 102 channels. It enables engineers to debug and validate complex digital designs through high-speed acquisition, advanced triggering, and optional mixed-signal and stimulus capabilities.
– Technical Specifications
• Channels: 102
• State Speed: Up to 150 MHz
• Timing Speed: Up to 500 MHz
• Acquisition Memory: 64K standard; optional 256K (Option 001) or 2M (Option 002)
• Trigger Functions: 23 predefined trigger functions with graphical and plain-language representations
• Trigger Sequencing: 12 levels for state; 10 levels for timing
• Display: VGA resolution color flat-panel display
• Storage: 2 GB hard drive; 1.44 MB DOS floppy drive
– Key Features
Mixed-Signal Capability (Option 003): Add simultaneous analog observation with a 2-channel oscilloscope featuring 500 MHz bandwidth and 2 GSa/s sampling. Cross-trigger between logic analyzer and oscilloscope for correlated analog-digital analysis.
Pattern Generation (Option 004): Stimulate designs with 32 channels at up to 100M vectors/sec. Output speeds reach 200 MHz on 15 channels or 100 MHz across all 32 channels. Supports 256K vector memory depth and multiple logic levels: TTL, 3-state TTL/3.3 V, 3-state TTL/CMOS, ECL (terminated and unterminated), and differential ECL.
Connectivity: GPIB, RS-232, Centronics printer port, and dual LAN ports (ThinLAN and Ethertwist) enable remote operation via X-Windows and data transfer over FTP/NFS.
– Typical Applications
Logic analysis and debugging of complex digital circuits, state-machine validation, timing verification, and device stimulation during product development when subsystems are unavailable.
– Compatibility & Integration
Probes and clips accommodate standard IC packages including QFP adapters, QFP probes, and headers. The pattern generator option supports 5 V TTL, 3-state variants (TTL, CMOS, 3.3 V, 1.8 V), ECL, PECL (5 V and 3.3 V), and LVDS logic families.
Operating Environment: 0 °C to 55 °C (instrument); 0 °C to 65 °C (probe leads and cables). Up to 80% relative humidity at +40 °C.
