Keysight / Agilent B1510A High Power Source/Measure Unit (HPSMU)

The Keysight/Agilent B1510A High Power Source/Measure Unit (HPSMU) is a modular instrument for precise sourcing and measurement of voltage and current in the B1500A Semiconductor Device Analyzer mainframe. It delivers integrated 4-quadrant source and measurement capability for DC current-voltage characterization of high-power devices, battery systems, and power electronics.

The B1510A occupies two slots in the B1500A mainframe and covers 200 V / 1 A maximum output at 20 W maximum power. Current measurement ranges from 1 nA with resolution down to 10 fA (or 0.1 fA at highest resolution). Voltage measurement resolution reaches 2 µV or 0.5 µV depending on range. Current source resolution is 10 fA or 50 fA; voltage source resolution is 25 µV. Minimum source range is 2 V.

Measurement modes include pulse operation from 500 µs pulse width, time-domain sampling from 100 µs, and quasi-static capacitance-voltage (QS-CV) measurements with leakage current compensation. High voltage pulse forcing extends to 40 V using the Arbitrary Linear Waveform Generator (ALWG).
