The Keysight/Agilent/HP 44428A is a 16-channel actuator terminal block that interfaces with the Keysight 3497A Data Acquisition/Control Unit or 3498A Extender. Built around 16 mercury-wetted Form C relays, the module switches up to 1 A at 100 V peak, operating in either actuator mode for external device control or digital output mode for 16-bit wide parallel signals. Screw terminals provide external connections, and isolated Flag and Gate handshake lines support protocol handshaking. Internal excitation at +5 V or external excitation up to 100 V is available. The assembly can be configured as a 4×4 matrix and integrates with the optional 16-channel isolated digital input/interrupt assembly for independent I/O capability.
