The Keysight E1473A is a C-size, 1-slot VXI RF multiplexer expander module that extends the switching capacity of E1472A or E1474A master multiplexers in automated test systems. It provides six 1×4 multiplexer banks with relay-based channel selection, enabling dense RF signal routing from DC to 1.3 GHz. Up to two E1473A expanders can be connected to a single master multiplexer, yielding a total of eighteen 1×4 banks. The module integrates within a VXI mainframe or mounts remotely up to 8 meters away using optional extender cables, reducing test cable length and insertion loss to the device under test.

– Compatibility & Integration
The E1473A requires a master E1472A (50 Ω) or E1474A (75 Ω) multiplexer. Mixed-impedance configurations are supported with E1475A (75 Ω) expanders across E1472A and E1474A systems. VXI instrument drivers are available for control and automation.
