The Measurement Computing PCI-DIO96H is a high-density digital I/O board for PCI bus systems delivering 96 configurable lines organized into four independent 24-bit groups. Each group contains three 8-bit ports (PORTA, PORTB, PORTC) with PORTC splittable into two 4-bit nibbles, all individually programmable as input or output. The board uses 74LS373 input buffers with high input impedance and 74S244 output drivers capable of sinking 64 mA and sourcing 15 mA at 5V logic levels. On power-up and reset, all I/O bits default to input mode. The board plugs directly into the PCI slot with no manual configuration required—all addresses are automatically assigned by system BIOS and plug-and-play software.
