The New Focus 1014 is a self-contained, battery-powered biased photodetector for ultrafast optical signal conversion across the 500–1630 nm wavelength range. It delivers a flat frequency response to 45 GHz with 9 ps rise time, making it ideal for high-speed measurements in frequency-domain applications. The module accepts single-mode fiber input via FC/UPC connector and outputs through a Wiltron K connector at 50 Ω impedance, eliminating the signal loss inherent in long coaxial cable runs. Internal RF shielding and a 9 V battery provide autonomous operation without external bias supplies or power conditioning.
