The NI cRIO-9024 is an embedded real-time controller for deterministic control, data logging, and monitoring in industrial automation environments. This fanless CompactRIO programmable automation controller integrates an 800 MHz Freescale real-time processor with 512 MB DDR2 RAM and 4 GB nonvolatile storage running VxWorks and LabVIEW Real-Time. The cRIO-9024 accepts dual 9 to 35 VDC supply inputs (6 to 35 VDC during operation) with maximum power consumption of 35 W when fully loaded with eight C Series modules. Two Ethernet ports—10/100 Mbps and 10/100/1000 Mbps—enable network communication via HTTP and FTP servers. Additional interfaces include Hi-Speed USB (480 Mb/s) and RS-232 serial (up to 230,400 bps). Operating across −20 °C to 55 °C, the controller measures 90.2 × 77.3 × 46.2 mm and weighs 609 g. Installation requires mounting to a compatible CompactRIO chassis with two captive screws torqued to 1.3 N·m. Fault-tolerant file system architecture ensures data integrity in demanding applications.
