NI FP-DIO-550 16-Channel Digital I/O Module

The NI FP-DIO-550 is a 16-channel digital I/O module for FieldPoint industrial automation and monitoring systems. It provides 8 independent digital input channels compatible with sinking, sourcing, and differential devices, paired with 8 sourcing digital output channels. The module supports configurable logic functions that activate output terminals based on matched input signal combinations. Input voltage range spans 11 VDC to 30 VDC with 7 mA maximum current draw per channel. Output channels deliver up to 30 VDC at 250 mA per channel with integrated short-circuit protection. A user-selectable input filter attenuates noise across a 1 µs to 65 ms range, while maximum input delay is 100 µs. The module achieves 250 Vrms CAT II continuous channel-to-ground isolation, verified by 2,300 Vrms dielectric withstand testing. Operating temperature extends from −40°C to 70°C (−40°C to 50°C at minimum input voltage). Power consumption is 600 mW, supplied via FieldPoint Terminal Base or Compact FieldPoint backplane. Input impedance is 42.9 kOhm; output impedance measures 200 mΩ. The FP-DIO-550 integrates with LabVIEW RT on Windows platforms and connects to FieldPoint Connector Box peripherals for streamlined field deployment.
