The NI PXI-1010 is a PXI/SCXI combination chassis that integrates high-performance PXI instrumentation with SCXI signal conditioning in a single platform. It accommodates eight PXI slots and four SCXI slots, supporting both parallel and multiplexed SCXI operation modes. The multiplexed mode eliminates external cabling by using a dedicated data acquisition module in the eighth PXI slot to control the SCXI subsystem. The rugged, shielded backplane provides a low-noise environment for precision measurement and automation systems, with independent PXI and SCXI backplane sections connected via local bus interface. The PXI backplane includes reference clock, trigger bus, star trigger, and local bus features per PXI Specification Revision 2.0. The SCXI backplane integrates analog, digital, and timing buses for intermodule communication and analog multiplexing. A PXI multifunction I/O module in the rightmost slot provides seamless SCXI subsystem control.
