The NI PXI-1045 is an 18-slot general-purpose PXI chassis engineered for distributed test and measurement systems. It accommodates 3U PXI-compatible and standard CompactPCI modules across one system controller slot and 17 peripheral slots, with three expansion positions for wider controller modules. The chassis delivers 132 MB/s maximum system bandwidth via three PXI bus segments linked through dual 32-bit/33 MHz PCI-PCI bridges, each segment providing eight PXI trigger lines. Advanced synchronization features include a matched trace-length star trigger line from slot 2 to slots 3–15 with <1 ns skew and a low-jitter 10 MHz system reference clock distributed to all peripheral slots with <250 ps skew and <5 ps jitter.
