The NI PXI-6602 is a timing and digital I/O module for PXI systems that delivers eight 32-bit up/down counters/timers and 32 lines of 5 V TTL/CMOS-compatible digital I/O. The module handles encoder position measurement, event counting, period and pulse width measurement, pulse generation and train generation, and frequency measurement with maximum source frequencies reaching 125 MHz using prescaling. It provides six trigger lines with PXI trigger bus support, three simultaneous high-speed DMA transfer channels, and 8X or 2X prescaling options on every counter. The 32 digital I/O lines consist of 8 dedicated lines and 24 lines shared with counter/timers, all equipped with digital debouncing filters. Available base clocks include 100 kHz, 20 MHz, and 80 MHz, with base clock accuracy of 200 ppm (±0.02%) over temperature using PXI_CLK10.
