The NI PXIe-4497 is a 16-channel sound and vibration data acquisition module for PXI Express systems. It delivers 24-bit resolution across all channels with simultaneous sampling up to 204.8 kS/s and a dynamic range of 114 dB, making it suitable for high-fidelity acoustic and vibration measurement tasks.
The module includes software-selectable IEPE signal conditioning with 0 or 4 mA excitation current and integrated open/short circuit detection for IEPE sensors. Built-in anti-aliasing filters automatically adapt to the selected sampling rate, with high-pass filtering at −3 dB (0.5 Hz) and −0.1 dB (3.2 Hz). Gain settings extend to +20 dB across two selectable stages, with input ranges from ±1 V to ±10 V. AC/DC coupling is independently configurable per channel.
TEDS read/write capability enables automatic sensor configuration from transducer electronic data sheets. Analog and digital overload detection with channel-specific reporting protects against signal clipping and data loss. The compliance voltage reaches 24 V, with the usable range dependent on common-mode voltage, sensor bias, and full-scale signal voltage.
