The Power Design 5015A is a 75 W DC power supply delivering 0–50 VDC and 0–1.5 A with continuously adjustable outputs. It operates in Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) modes with automatic crossover, utilizing a patented “Uniply” regulator technique that provides constant output power characteristics unavailable in SCR, Triac, or switching regulator systems. The unit maintains line regulation better than 0.01% or 3 mV (whichever is greater) across ±10% input variations, and load regulation better than 0.01% or 3 mV across 100% load changes. Output ripple and noise measures less than 250 µV RMS at 60 Hz and less than 500 µV RMS at 400 Hz line frequency. Recovery time is less than 30 µs after a 10–100% or 100–10% step load change. Temperature coefficient is 0.02% + 2 mV/°C, with stability better than 0.01% + 5 mV per 8 hours at constant line, load, and ambient conditions. Source impedance is less than 0.003 Ω at DC, 0.15 Ω at 100 kHz, and 1.5 Ω at 1 MHz.
