Rigol DG5102 – 100 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator, 2 channels, 128 M

The Rigol DG5102 is a dual-channel function/arbitrary waveform generator delivering 100 MHz bandwidth for sine and square outputs, with 50 MHz capability for pulse and arbitrary waveforms. Built on Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technology, it produces stable, low-distortion signals across 14-bit vertical resolution and 1 µHz frequency resolution. The instrument generates 13 standard waveforms—sine, square, ramp, pulse, noise, sinc, exponential rise/fall, ECG, Gauss, haversine, Lorentz, dual tones, and DC—plus freely definable arbitrary waveforms up to 128 Mpts output length. A 1 GSa/s sample rate and adjustable amplitude from 5 mVpp to 10 Vpp into 50 Ω enable precise signal conditioning. The DG5102 supports amplitude, frequency, phase, and pulse-width modulation alongside advanced ASK, FSK, and PSK modulation. Linear, logarithmic, and step sweep functions operate with user-defined mark frequencies, while optional frequency hopping reaches 80 ns intervals. Burst output and fully configurable arbitrary modulation via IQ baseband/IF paths extend flexibility. Channel phase deviation adjustment enables coherent two-channel operation. A 4.3-inch TFT LCD (480 × 272 pixels) drives an intuitive graphical interface. Internal 1 GByte flash storage and USB support handle arbitrary waveform editing via supplied PC software. Full remote control integrates via USB device, LAN (10/100M Ethernet), GPIB (IEEE-488.2), or RS-232. Synchronous signal output, modulation input, and 10 MHz clock I/O support multi-instrument synchronization. LXI-C v1.2 compliance ensures ecosystem compatibility.
