The Rigol DG972 is a dual-channel function and arbitrary waveform generator delivering 70 MHz sine wave output with 250 MSa/s sample rate and 16-bit vertical resolution. Built on Rigol’s SiFi II technology, it generates arbitrary waveforms point by point with <200 ps jitter and distortion-free output up to 10 Vpp into high impedance. The instrument combines standard waveforms—sine, square, ramp, pulse, noise, and dual-tone—with 160 built-in arbitrary waveforms spanning engineering, medical, automotive, and signal processing domains. A 7-digit frequency counter rated to 240 MHz, integrated analog and digital modulation (AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK, PWM), and dual 16 Mpts arbitrary waveform memories make it suitable for education, research, and industrial signal generation. The fanless design operates silently at 0 dB, while a 4.3-inch TFT touch screen provides intuitive control. Frequency stability of ±1 ppm and phase noise of −105 dBc/Hz ensure signal integrity across applications.
