The Rod-L M100DC-5.5-5 is a DC Hipot Test Instrument that performs dielectric withstand testing and concurrent ground continuity assessment on electrical and electronic devices. It subjects the device under test to user-adjustable DC voltages while monitoring insulation integrity and verifying effective leakage current shunting to earth ground. The instrument detects arc and overcurrent faults, shutting down within 2 milliseconds and rapidly discharging the DUT upon detection or test completion. Built-in safety features include a chassis ground sense circuit, recessed start button, alarm light and tone, and internal shutdown circuitry. The M100DC-5.5-5 complies with UL, VDE, BSI, IEC, and CSA standards.
