The Rohde & Schwarz ESR26 is a dual-mode EMI test receiver and signal/spectrum analyzer covering 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz. Purpose-built for electromagnetic interference testing and certification, it delivers compliance-grade measurements across CISPR 16-1-1 Ed. 3.1, ANSI C63.2, MIL-STD-461, and FCC standards.
– Technical Specifications
Frequency & Input: 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz operating range with 50 Ω input impedance. Attenuation spans 0 to 75 dB in 5 dB steps.
Receiver Mode Performance: Resolution bandwidths from 10 Hz to 10 MHz (–3 dB) in 1/2/3/5/10 step sequences. Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) reaches < 6 dBμV at 500 MHz (120 kHz bandwidth, preamplifier off) to < –7 dBμV with preamplifier on. 1 dB compression point: +3 dBm nominal (preamplifier and preselection off), +10 dBm nominal at 1 GHz.
Analyzer Mode Performance: DANL from < 130 dBm to < 144 dBm (typ. 140–147 dBm). IF bandwidths extend 100 Hz to 40 MHz with resolution bandwidths selectable 10 Hz to 300 kHz in 1/2/3/5 sequence.
Amplification & Protection: Integrated 20 dB preamplifier with frequency-dependent gain: 20 dB (1 kHz to 7 GHz), 30 dB (7 GHz to 26.5 GHz). Maximum RF levels: 30 dBm with preamplifier off (≥10 dB attenuation), 23 dBm with preamplifier on. Pulse handling: 150 V max (Input 1), 450 V max (Input 2); pulse energy to 1 mWs (Input 1) and 20 mWs (Input 2) at 10 μs duration.
Measurement Accuracy: ±0.47 to 1.34 dB across the operating range. VSWR: 1.20:1 to 3.00:1.
