Siecor FBC

The Siecor FBC series comprises high-precision fiber cleaving tools engineered to produce clean, perpendicular end-faces on optical fibers for splicing, connector termination, and network access. These mechanical cleavers deliver the fiber end-preparation quality required to minimize optical loss across single-mode and multimode installations. The series includes multiple models—FBC-001, FBC-005, FBC-006, FBC-007, and FBC-015—each optimized for specific field and laboratory termination workflows, with particular strength in UniCam® Connector installation.

– Key Features

FBC-005 operates on a bend-and-scribe principle with adjustable fiber tension and produces right-angle cuts in fibers with outside diameter 100–140 µm. Requires lubrication for consistent results.

FBC-006 delivers repeatable fiber end-faces with average angle deviation less than 0.7° from perpendicular. Features a diamond cutting blade with minimum 30,000 cleaves per blade under normal use. Accommodates fiber cladding diameter 80–140 µm and coating diameter 250–900 µm. Exchangeable fiber guides support universal handling (250–900 µm), large fibers (900 µm to 3 mm), and OptiSplice series adapters. True one-step operation: clamping, bending, scribing, and breaking in a single movement. Includes metric length scale (5–15 mm). Field-replaceable blade assembly. Manufactured in Germany.

FBC-007 is a UniCam® high-performance precision flat cleaver with diamond blade and fiber handlers.

FBC-015 is engineered for easy UniCam® Connector installation with consistent cleaving of 250 µm or 900 µm fibers. Supports jacketed applications and includes an integrated scrap bin. Features dual-clamp precision and diamond blade.
