The Spellman HVD-100 is a high-voltage resistive divider engineered for precise DC voltage measurements up to 100 kV. It delivers accurate, minimally-loading voltage sensing through exceptionally high input impedance and precision metal film resistor construction. The device is built for steady-state DC measurement applications where circuit loading must be kept minimal.
This divider reaches 1000 MΩ (1 GΩ) input impedance, ensuring negligible current draw from the circuit under test. Multiple output taps provide flexible full-scale ranges: 100V (1000:1), 10V (10,000:1), and 2V. Output impedance options of 1 MΩ or 100 kΩ support integration with high-impedance measurement instruments. Standard accuracy is 0.5% across the operating range, with an optional 0.1% grade available (specify HVD100-1). Temperature stability is held to 25 ppm/°C, and short-term drift remains below 0.01% per 8 hours.

– Typical Applications
DC voltage measurement in high-voltage power supplies, test systems, and precision laboratory environments requiring minimal circuit loading.
– Compatibility & Integration
Designed for use with high-impedance digital voltmeters (10 GΩ input impedance or higher recommended). Connection to lower-impedance instruments—such as oscilloscopes with 1 MΩ input impedance—will compromise measurement accuracy. Yearly recalibration is recommended to maintain specified performance.
