The Tektronix 80C06 is an optical sampling module for high-speed telecommunication signal analysis across the 1520–1580 nm wavelength band. It converts optical signals to electrical waveforms at 50 GS/s with 55 GHz optical bandwidth, enabling precise characterization of 40 Gb/s NRZ and RZ systems. The unamplified optical-to-electrical converter accepts average input power up to 20 mW, optimizing signal-to-noise ratio for long-wavelength, high-power optical signals. Measurement capabilities include eye pattern analysis, pulse shape characterization, and automated waveform acquisition.
