The Tektronix OTS91C1 and OTS91L1 are specialized modules for the OTS9100 Series Optical Test System. The OTS91C1 serves as a 10 Gb Clock/Trigger card, providing synchronization and control for high-speed optical testing. The OTS91L1 is a 10 Gb/s SONET/SDH transceiver module that generates and receives optical signals across the full OC-192/STM-64 hierarchy. It integrates a high-speed digital signal generator with a fiber-coupled laser and modulator to produce fixed and pseudo-random test patterns at both sub-rate and full-rate payload configurations. The module’s Through Mode function enables retransmission of received 10 Gb/s signals with programmable alarm and error insertion across SONET Section, Line, and Path levels, as well as SDH Regenerator Section, Multiplex Section, and Path levels. This capability supports comprehensive validation of SONET and SDH equipment response to fault conditions.
