The Tektronix TCP202 is an AC/DC current probe that measures both alternating and direct currents across a DC to 50 MHz bandwidth. Its split-core design clamps around conductors without circuit interruption, enabling non-invasive current measurement in live systems. Hall Effect sensing delivers DC accuracy to ±3% (improvable to ±1% with compatible TDS oscilloscopes and optional calibrator), while handling peak pulse currents to 50 A and continuous AC+DC currents to 15 A. The probe connects directly to Tektronix oscilloscopes via the TEKPROBE™ BNC interface, which supplies power and communicates probe characteristics automatically. Low insertion impedance—0.002 Ω at 1 kHz and 0.1 Ω at 5 MHz—minimizes circuit loading. A 2.2 meter cable and compact form factor suit confined measurement points with conductors up to 3.8 mm diameter.

– Compatibility & Integration
Recommended with all TDS3000C and TDS5000B Series oscilloscopes. Compatible with TDS400, TDS500, TDS600, and TDS700 Series; best accuracy on TDS500/600/700 models with the optional calibrator. When paired with non-Tektronix instruments or legacy models, oscilloscope bandwidth must be at least 200 MHz. The measurement instrument input requires a ground reference for proper operation.
