The Tektronix TDS714L is a four-channel digital storage oscilloscope engineered for high-fidelity signal acquisition and fast transient capture. With 500 MHz analog bandwidth and 500 MS/s real-time sampling, it delivers 8-bit vertical resolution—extendable to over 11 bits via averaging and over 12 bits with Hi-Res mode. The instrument captures glitches as narrow as 1 ns using peak detect acquisition and maintains ±1% vertical accuracy across a 1 mV/div to 10 V/div sensitivity range. Advanced triggering includes edge, pulse-width, logic, glitch (1 ns minimum width typical, 2 ns warranted), slew rate, and time-out modes, with optional video triggering for NTSC, PAL, and HDTV standards. Up to 8 M-point record length supports deep waveform storage; FastFrame™ time-stamp acquisition enables segmented memory with trigger rates to 80,000 per second.
