The Valhalla 2300 is a digital power analyzer engineered for simultaneous real-time measurement of AC power parameters across single-phase and three-phase systems. It delivers true RMS voltage, true RMS current, power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor, and frequency analysis in a single instrument. The 4½-digit LED display presents voltage, current, and power data concurrently, making it ideal for R&D validation, quality assurance, and industrial power system diagnostics.
– Technical Specifications
Voltage measurement ranges span 50V to 600V (models 2300/2301) or 5V to 60V (models 2300L/2301L), with resolution from 1 mV to 100 mV depending on model and range. DC and AC measurements from 20 Hz to 5 kHz maintain ±0.1% accuracy ±6 digits. Bandwidth extends to 50 kHz with approximately 1% additional error per 10 kHz above 20 kHz. Maximum input rating is ±1500V peak, 1000 VDC or RMS AC, or 3000 V peak-to-peak. Input impedance is 1 MΩ (models 2300/2301) or 100 kΩ (models 2300L/2301L). Minimum measurable input is 5% of selected range.
Current inputs support nine ranges: 0.2A, 0.5A, and 1A (low shunt, 100 µA resolution, DC to 10 kHz); 2A, 5A, and 10A (medium shunt, 1 mA resolution, DC to 5 kHz); and 20A, 50A, and 100A (high shunt, 10 mA resolution, DC to 1 kHz). Current shunt impedances are 100 mΩ, 10 mΩ, and 1 mΩ respectively. Maximum continuous current ratings are 2A, 20A, and 150A for low, medium, and high shunts.
The instrument requires 1 hour warm-up to rated specifications. Operating temperature for full accuracy is 20°C to 30°C. Temperature coefficient is ±1/10 of accuracy per °C outside this range. Maximum common-mode voltage is 1500V peak from any terminal to chassis. Calibration remains valid for one year; NIST-traceable calibration is available.
