The Xantrex HPD60-5 is a 300-watt DC power supply for electronic testing, development, and industrial applications. It delivers 0–60 Vdc at 0–5 A with automatic crossover between constant voltage and constant current modes. The design combines high-frequency switching regulation at 100 kHz (nominal) with linear post-regulation to achieve high power density and low output noise. A ten-turn potentiometer provides high-resolution voltage setting, while the fully adjustable current limit ranges from zero to rated output. The front panel features simultaneous digital voltage and current displays plus analog bar graphs for real-time transient monitoring. Impedance-switched remote sensing and integrated power factor correction ensure precise load tracking and clean input operation across 104–127 VAC, 47–63 Hz. Four independent units can be configured in a quarter-rack-width system or connected in parallel or series without damage; all configurations are short-circuit proof.
