The FIS Single Mode DSF (Dispersion-Shifted Fiber) is designed for high-performance optical networks requiring low chromatic dispersion in the C-band (1530–1565 nm). Its optimized refractive index profile minimizes signal distortion, making it ideal for long-haul, metro, and DWDM systems where data integrity is critical.
This 20,000-meter (20 km) spool of bare fiber provides flexibility for splicing, termination, and custom cable assembly. The DSF design shifts the zero-dispersion wavelength to 1550 nm, reducing nonlinear effects and improving transmission quality. It features a standard 125 µm cladding diameter with a 9 µm core, compatible with single-mode connectors and splices.
